Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AzureOptimize is an Azure cost optimization consulting service operating from Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@azureoptimize.pro.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to deliver our services and respond to your enquiries.

Information you provide

• Contact details — name, work email, phone or WhatsApp number, company name, job title, country.
• Azure environment context — monthly Azure spend bracket, subscription count, and any notes you share about your environment when booking an audit.
• Payment details — for paid plans, billing name, email and phone. Card and bank details are entered directly with Razorpay (our payment processor) and are never stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically

• Country — derived from your IP address via Cloudflare's CF-IPCountry header, used solely to determine whether to display prices in INR or USD.
• Security logs — Cloudflare maintains standard request logs for abuse prevention and DDoS protection.
• Aggregated analytics — Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation enabled) collects page views, source/medium, device type, and conversion events to help us measure marketing effectiveness. Microsoft Clarity captures aggregated heatmaps and anonymised session recordings on our landing pages to improve usability. Neither tool is used to build individual visitor profiles for advertising re-targeting, and we do not enable Google Signals or cross-device tracking.

3. Azure access and your cloud data

If you engage us for an audit or implementation, you provision scoped, read-only or scoped read-write access to your Azure tenant via a Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) registered application. The following principles apply:

• Your Azure data is accessed by us, on demand, only for the purpose of the audit and implementation work you've authorized.
• We do not extract, copy, or store your Azure resource data on third-party servers. Analysis output (the audit report) is generated and delivered to you.
• You retain full control of the access we hold and may revoke it at any time. We confirm de-provisioning on engagement closure.
• We do not access your data after the engagement concludes.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver the consultation, audit, implementation, and ongoing support you've requested.
• Send order confirmations, invoices, scheduling messages, and engagement-related communication.
• Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
• Comply with applicable legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any party for marketing purposes.

5. Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of trusted service providers, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:

• Cloudflare — website hosting, edge functions, and security.
• Razorpay — payment processing. See Razorpay's privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (order confirmations and audit notifications).
• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — aggregated traffic and conversion analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. See Google's privacy policy.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — aggregated heatmaps and anonymised session recordings on selected pages. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
• Google Fonts — web font delivery.
• Microsoft Azure — when you grant us access to your own Azure tenant, you remain the data controller of your cloud data; we act under your direction.

6. International data transfers

Our service is operated from India. Our service providers (Cloudflare, Razorpay, Resend) operate globally and may store or process data in jurisdictions outside India, including the United States and the European Union. We rely on the safeguards each provider has in place for international transfers under applicable law.

7. Data retention

• Enquiry and booking data — retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction, or longer where legally required.
• Payment and invoice records — retained as required by Indian tax and accounting law (typically 8 years).
• Email correspondence — retained while the engagement is active and for 24 months thereafter.
• Cloudflare request logs — retained per Cloudflare's standard policy (typically a few days for security purposes).

8. Security

We protect your information through:

• HTTPS encryption (TLS 1.2+) for every page and API call.
• Strict Content-Security-Policy and HTTP security headers.
• Server-side payment signature verification — we never trust client-side payment data.
• Scoped, time-limited Azure access tokens, never stored in plaintext.
• Least-privilege access to operational systems.

While we apply industry-standard measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You acknowledge this inherent risk in using internet-based services.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in India, and the GDPR for EU/EEA residents), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw any consent you have previously given.
• Lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (e.g., _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and sessions for aggregated traffic measurement. IP anonymisation is enabled; cross-device tracking and Google Signals are disabled.
• Microsoft Clarity sets first-party cookies on landing pages to associate page interactions within a single session.
• Razorpay checkout (only when you proceed to payment) sets session cookies necessary to complete the transaction.

You can decline these by using browser settings or extensions that block analytics scripts. The website's core functionality (booking, payment, content) does not depend on these cookies and will continue to work.

11. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page; continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
